Is this a paid internship?
Yes, fellows will receive $3,250 per summer plus a scholarship during the academic year between summers.
What out of pocket expenses will I have?
Personal items, coin-operated laundry, souvenirs
What are the tentative start and end dates?
Summer I: June 11 - August 20, 2017
Summer II (tentative): May 14 - July 27, 2018

What if I can only participate in the first summer?
Unfortunately, the program requires a two-summer commitment.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
No, computers will provided to fellows.
Is it safe to travel to South Africa?
Yes. According to the CDC currently there are no travel restrictions. You will participate in a 6-week pre-departure course to prepare you for cultural differences and what to expect during your study abroad experience.

What if I don't have a passport?
We will assist you in obtaining a passport upon acceptance into the program.
